You can now challenge a friend on three of our daily games: Country Clash, Capitals Map and the Daily Travel Route. Finish today's puzzle, send a link, and your friend plays the exact same puzzle to try to beat you.
Everyone gets the same daily puzzle, so it is a fair fight. And it is more fun to beat a friend than a stranger on a leaderboard.
How it works
- When you finish with a score, the Challenge a friend button shows up on your results.
- Tap it and a short window shows the 3 steps: the message your friend gets, the screen they open, and an example of the result.
- Send it with WhatsApp, Discord, Messages (on phones), or copy the link and paste it anywhere.
- Already closed the game? Come back to the page later today and the button is still there.
What your friend sees
The link opens today's puzzle with your name and the score to beat at the top. No sign-up needed - they just press Start and play with the same rules.
At the end, your results go head to head. In Country Clash and Capitals Map the higher score wins, and if you tie, the faster time wins. In the Daily Travel Route it is the ranked time, which counts detours and wrong guesses. After that, they can send a challenge of their own.
A new puzzle every day
A challenge is for one day's puzzle. If your friend opens the link a day late, they get the new puzzle and a note that your challenge was for an earlier day. So send it while it is fresh, and check the daily leaderboards to see how you both did against everyone else.
