How to Play Capitals Multiplayer
Capitals Multiplayer is a free, real-time 1v1 geography game. A country appears and both players race to pick its capital from four choices. Score is based on being correct and on speed. No account or download needed - just create a room, share the link, and start playing.
Rules & Scoring
Both players see the same country and pick its capital from four options before the timer runs out.
A correct answer scores points - and the faster you answer, the bigger your speed bonus.
The higher score wins the round. Answer wrong or run out of time and you score nothing.
Ranked matches are best-of-seven - first to four round wins takes the match.
Tips to Win
Speed counts as much as accuracy - a fast correct answer beats a slow one, so trust your first instinct. Build a streak to keep your momentum, watch the opponent countdown to judge how much time you have, and warm up on an easier region before jumping to Expert.

How does scoring work?
Pick the correct capital to earn points, plus a speed bonus for answering fast. The player with the higher score wins the round - and the player who wins the most rounds wins the match.
How many rounds are there?
A ranked match is best-of-seven: the first player to win four rounds takes the match.
Can I choose the region and difficulty?
Yes! When you create a friendly room you pick a region (World, Europe, Asia, etc.) and a difficulty level. Ranked matches scale difficulty to your rating automatically.
Which regions and difficulties can I play?
Choose from World, Europe, Asia, Africa, Americas, Oceania, and the Middle East, across five difficulty levels from Beginner to Expert.
Can I play on mobile?
Yes. Capitals Multiplayer works in any modern browser on phone, tablet, or desktop - the answer tiles are built for touch.
How is my rating decided?
Each ranked match updates your ELO rating based on the result and your opponent strength. Beat stronger opponents to climb faster.
