Capitals Map
Spin the globe
The globe spins and stops on a mystery capital. Name all five - from easy to expert - with 3 lives and a speed bonus for fast answers!
A pin drops on a capital city. Type its name - wrong guesses zoom in and reveal hints, but cost a life. Everyone worldwide plays the same five capitals today (UTC).
Capitals Map - How it works
Capitals Map is a free daily geography game. A stylized globe spins, slows down and stops with a pin on a mystery capital city. Type its name from the suggestions - five capitals a day, ordered easy to expert, sharing 3 lives. Wrong guesses zoom the camera in, reveal country borders, then highlight the country with a distance hint - but each one costs a life. Fast answers earn a speed bonus, and every life left at the end is worth extra points.
How to play
- Press Play to start today's game.
- The globe spins and stops with a pin on a mystery capital.
- Type the capital's name and pick it from the suggestions - picking submits the guess.
- A wrong guess costs a life and reveals more: first a zoom with country borders, then the highlighted country plus a distance hint.
- Name all five capitals before your 3 lives run out. Answer within 15 seconds for a speed bonus - each attempt allows at most 60 seconds.
Tips
- Check the coastline and neighbours before guessing - the shape of the land narrows it down fast.
- The first capitals are famous; the last ones are for experts. Save your lives for the hard ones.
- A fast correct answer earns up to 10 bonus points - but a wrong fast answer costs a life.
- The distance hint measures from your last wrong guess - use it like a compass.
