About this challenge
Each day (UTC), everyone worldwide gets the same travel route. Find the shortest path between two countries by guessing neighbors. Come back daily and climb the leaderboard.
Daily Travel Route - How it works
The Daily Travel Route is a free daily geography game. Every day (UTC), everyone gets the same two countries as origin and destination. Your goal is to find the path between them by guessing neighboring countries as fast as possible.
How to play
- Press Start to reveal the map and begin the timer.
- You will see an origin country (green) and a destination country (red) on the map.
- Type a country name to guess. If it lies on the shortest path, it turns purple. If not, it turns orange and counts as a wrong guess.
- Connect the origin to the destination through neighboring countries to complete the route.
- You have a maximum of 5 wrong guesses before game over.
- Come back tomorrow for a new daily route (UTC).
Tips to win faster
- Think about which countries share borders between the origin and destination.
- Start from the end with fewer neighbors and work toward the other.
- Use your knowledge of large countries with many neighbors (like Germany, China, Brazil) as stepping stones.
- Avoid guessing countries far from the general path direction.

FAQ
- Is the Daily Travel Route the same for everyone?
- Yes. The daily route is the same worldwide and changes once per day (UTC).
- How is the leaderboard ranked?
- By time, but the goal is the shortest route. Every guess beyond the optimal minimum - a longer route or a wrong guess - adds a 2-second penalty to your ranked time. So a fast run on a longer route can no longer beat a tighter route. Ties break by fewer correct guesses, then earliest finish.
- Why did I get a time penalty?
- The optimal route crosses a fixed minimum number of countries. If your route crosses more countries than that minimum, or you make a wrong guess, each extra guess adds 2 seconds to your ranked time. Find the shortest route to avoid any penalty.
- How many wrong guesses do I get?
- You can make up to 5 wrong guesses before game over. Each wrong guess also adds a 2-second penalty to your ranked time.
- Where can I see previous winners?
- Visit the winners page to see all-time daily winners and today's results.
