New Game: Geo Conquest

Geo Conquest: four players fighting over a map of Europe

Geo Conquest is out: our first game for 2 to 4 players. You start with two countries on a map of Europe, and every right answer lets you grow. The player who holds the most of Europe when the rounds run out wins.

It plays like a board game where geography is your army - you plan where to go next, guard your borders and steal land from your rivals.

How it works

  • On your turn, pick a country next to yours. You have 20 seconds.
  • Unclaimed land: answer one question right and it is yours.
  • A rival's country: you both answer. If you are right and they are wrong, you take it. Both right? A number question decides - the closest guess wins.
  • Most countries are worth 1 point, the big ones 2 and Russia 3. After 8 rounds the most points wins, and everyone can vote for 4 more rounds.

18 kinds of questions

Flags, country shapes, capitals, cities, landmarks, famous dishes, currencies, languages, rivers, borders, web domains, population and distances between capitals. Questions change every turn, so you never get the same thing twice in a row.

Three ways to play

  • Quick match - ranked, against rivals near your level. If nobody is around, a GeoBot takes an empty seat every 5 seconds, so you never wait long.
  • Play with friends - open your own room and send the link to anyone. Pick the number of rounds and the turn time, and fill empty seats with GeoBots if you like.
  • Practice - you against 2 friendly GeoBots, to learn the ropes with no pressure.

Climb the ranks

Quick matches move your ELO rating, from Scout through Explorer, Navigator and Cartographer up to Conqueror. Every game also pays up to 25 GeoFun points that count toward the Global Ranking. It is free, there is nothing to download, and it works on your phone.
