Read the scale
A country sits on the left pan. Each level weighs countries by their area or by their population.

Add countries
Type a country to drop it on the right pan. You can add up to 5 countries (4 in later levels).

Watch the beam
The beam tilts as the right side gets heavier. Stop when it's nearly level - go over 100% and it tips over.

Earn stars
85% earns 1 star, 97% earns 2 and a perfect 99.5% earns 3. One star opens the next level.

How many European countries fit into Brazil? Is Nigeria more crowded than Germany and France together? Geo Balance turns those questions into a puzzle: every level is a balance scale with one country on the left, and you balance it with other countries on the right.
Odd levels weigh countries by area, even levels by population, so you learn both the size of a country on the map and how many people live there. The numbers behind the scale come from 190 countries, and every level has a perfect answer.

Is Geo Balance free?
Yes. Levels 1-20 are free for everyone, levels 21-35 need a free account and levels 36-45 are part of GeoFun+.
Where do the area and population numbers come from?
Area is the total area of a country in square kilometres, including lakes and rivers. Population is the latest estimate in millions of people. Both are rounded the same way for every country.
What happens if I go over 100%?
The right side gets heavier than the left and the scale tips over. That attempt earns no stars, but you can try the same level again straight away.
Is there always a perfect answer?
Yes. Every level was built around a set of three countries that balance the scale to 99.5% or more. After a miss you get a hint: how many countries you need and where the biggest one is.
Is there anything after level 45?
Some players say there is a hidden vault somewhere in Geo Balance. Finish every level to find out.
