Name All 195 Countries of the World
The ultimate geography challenge: every country on Earth, 20 minutes on the clock. Work your way continent by continent and see how much of the world map you can fill in.
How to Play
Type the name of any country in the world into the box - there is no need to press Enter. Each correct answer fills in that country on the map and scores points: small countries are worth more than big ones, and correct answers in a row build a streak multiplier up to ×3. Stuck? A hint lights up the biggest country you are still missing and shows its first letter, for 50 points. When time runs out, every missed country is revealed in red.
How many countries are there in the world?
This quiz counts 195 countries in the world. Bonus answers (Kosovo, Taiwan, Western Sahara, Greenland and Falkland Islands) are accepted for extra points but do not count toward the total.
What are the largest countries in the world?
By area, the biggest countries in the world are Russia, Canada and United States. The smallest, such as Tuvalu and Tonga, are marked with a dot on the map so you can still see them fill in.
How much time do you get?
Classic mode gives you 20:00 to name all 195 countries. Blitz is a 5:00 sprint to name as many as you can, and it pays 20% more GeoFunGames points. Zen mode has no timer at all.
Is this countries quiz free?
Yes, it is completely free with no sign-up needed. Your best scores are saved on this device, and every round earns GeoFunGames points.
Names are accepted in English and in all nine site languages, with or without accents, and common alternatives such as Holland, Burma or Czechia work too.
