Our new daily game Country Connections is a connections puzzle where every tile is a country. Find the 4 hidden groups of 4 countries that share something.
The twist: most countries are in disguise. One shows its flag, one its outline, one its capital city and only some show their name. So you have to recognise the country before you can connect it.
How it works
- Pick four tiles that belong together and press Submit. You can make 4 mistakes before the puzzle ends.
- The links come from real geography: rivers, mountain ranges, seas, flags, currencies, alliances, history and more.
- Found a group? Name what links them from three options to earn a star.
- The colours show how hard each group is, from yellow (easy) to purple (the tricky one).
- Stuck on a tile? You have 3 Scouts. Each one unmasks a tile for 5 points.
Watch out for red herrings
Some tiles seem to fit two groups. Only one way of sorting all 16 tiles works, so use the other groups to work out where a tile really belongs. After the game you can see every red herring that was meant to trick you.
One puzzle a day, for everyone
A new puzzle unlocks every day at midnight UTC, and everyone plays the same one. It gets a little harder from Monday to Sunday. A perfect day scores 100. The daily leaderboard ranks players by score, then fewer mistakes, then time, and the top 3 earn bonus points.
Missed a day or want to check a group? The answers page shows yesterday's solution with all the links explained. And when you finish, share your colour grid with friends without spoiling the answers.
