The leaderboard now has three new boards next to the all-time ranking: Today, This week and This month. Each one resets on a schedule, so you can reach the top without first catching players who have been collecting points for years.
One good session can put you on today's board. A strong week can make you this week's number one.
How the new boards work
- Today resets every night at midnight UTC.
- This week starts fresh every Monday at 00:00 UTC.
- This month starts fresh on the 1st of every month.
- Every board has the same Overall, Geography and Puzzles views as the all-time ranking.
- A live countdown and a small bar show how much time is left before the board resets.
See where you stand
If you have points, the Your standing card at the top shows your rank on all four boards at once, plus your rank in your country. Tap a board to open it. Not on a board yet? A button takes you straight to a daily game. And if you are outside the top 50, a bar at the bottom of the table keeps your own position in view.
Last period's champions
Each of the new boards also shows the top 3 players from the period before - yesterday, last week or last month - so the winners get their moment even after the board resets.
Your rank progress
Below the table, a new card shows how close you are to your next Explorer rank: your current badge, the next one, and exactly how many points you still need. Your total points and games are there too.
1v1 matches now count as games
Every finished 1v1 match now counts toward your games total.
Why your points may have changed
While building the new boards we checked everyone's points, so some of you may see your total or your rank move. There are two reasons:
- Missing 1v1 points added back. A bug kept some points from 1v1 matches from reaching the players who earned them. We found those points and added them to the right accounts.
- Unfair results removed. Our automatic fair-play system went through past games and flagged results that were not played fairly. We removed the points from those games.
If you think we got something wrong with your points, please let us know and we will look into it.
