Geo Split is here: two new map games where you draw one straight line across a country, and one side has to hold exactly the right share of it.
In Geo Split: Area you split the land. In Geo Split: Population you split the people. Same country, very different answers: cut Egypt in half by area and your line crosses empty desert, cut it in half by people and it has to go through the Nile.
How it works
- Each level is one country and a target. Levels 1-20 split it in half, 21-40 cut off a third, 41-60 a quarter and 61-80 just a tenth.
- Drag a straight line across the map, then drag either end to fine-tune it. The line runs on across the whole country.
- Cut, and the country breaks in two. You see the real share on each side, dots for where the land or the people are, and a gold line for the perfect cut at your angle.
- Stuck? The hint shows the centre of the land (Area) or the biggest cities (Population) for 15 points.
Stars and levels
- You score 100 points minus 10 for every percentage point off. 50 earns 1 star, 75 earns 2 and 90 earns 3.
- Every finished cut opens the next level. Your first try can reach 100; after that you have seen the perfect line, so retries top out at 85, 70 and then 60.
- Every level has its own board of top players, and every new star earns points on the world ranking.
Area is the easier way in: levels 1-40 are free, 41-60 need a free account and 61-80 are part of GeoFun+. In Population, levels 1-20 are free, 21-40 need a free account and 41-80 are GeoFun+.
The population comes from a grid of about 1 km squares covering the whole world (GHSL 2025, European Commission), so every town and village counts. Areas are measured on the globe, not on a stretched flat map.
