Where do a country's people really live?
Half of Egypt's land is empty desert, but almost every Egyptian lives along the Nile. Half of Canada's people live in a thin strip close to the US border. Geo Split: Population turns facts like these into a puzzle: one straight line, and one side has to hold exactly the right share of the people.
The population comes from a grid of about 1 km squares covering the whole world, so every town and village counts. Cut, and dots show where the people live, with a gold line for the perfect cut.

Geo Split FAQ
Is Geo Split free?
Yes. Levels 1-20 are free for everyone, levels 21-40 need a free account and levels 41-80 are part of GeoFun+.
How is my cut scored?
The side of your line that is closer to the target counts. You get 100 points minus 10 for every percentage point off: 48.5% on a halving level is 1.5 points off, so 85 points.
Why does my score drop when I retry?
After a cut you see the perfect line, so a retry could just copy it. Your first try can reach 100, the second 85, the third 70 and every try after that 60, which is still enough to pass.
Where does the population data come from?
From GHSL, the Global Human Settlement Layer of the European Commission's Joint Research Centre. It estimates how many people live in every square of about 1 km for 2025.
What is the hint?
It shows the biggest cities of the country before you cut. It costs 15 points.
