How to play Country Hunt

Read the blanks
The blanks show how many letters the country has, and the gaps show where one word ends and the next begins.

Tap the letters
Tap the tiles in any order. They do not need to touch. Each letter drops into the next blank, and tapping a filled blank sends it back.

Fill every blank
The answer is checked when every blank is full. A wrong word bounces back and costs a few seconds. Decoy letters are there to trick you.

Collect stars
In the quest, finish a level with no misses and no hints for 3 stars. Stuck? A hint shows the continent, removes decoys or places a letter.
Three ways to play
Quest
39 levels in 6 chapters, from World Icons to the islands of Oceania. 3 hearts per level, 60 seconds per country, up to 3 stars.
Endless
30 seconds per country and one miss ends the run. Clean solves in a row build a streak multiplier up to x3.
Relax
No clock at all. Take your time, use a hint when you need one, and learn the names as you go.
About Country Hunt
Country Hunt is a free geography word game. Every round hides the name of a country among letter tiles, together with decoy letters taken from other country names. Read the blanks, find the letters and spell it before the clock runs out.
It starts with the countries everyone knows and travels on through Europe, the Americas, Asia, Africa and Oceania, so the names get longer and less familiar as you go. Every country you find shows its flag, and a retry of a level deals different countries, so you learn the map instead of memorising answers. In total 190 countries are waiting to be found.

Country Hunt FAQ
Is Country Hunt free?
Yes. The first two chapters of the quest, Endless and Relax are open to everyone. Chapters 3 to 6 only need a free account, which also keeps your stars on every device.
Do the letters have to touch?
No. Tap them in any order, anywhere on the board. Every letter of the name is on the board exactly once, plus a few decoys.
How do I get 3 stars?
Finish the level without a miss and without a hint. One miss or up to two hints still gives 2 stars, and any finished level gives at least 1.
What happens when I replay a level?
You get a fresh set of countries of the same difficulty, so you cannot just remember the answers. Your best star result for the level is kept.
Are country names in my language?
Yes. The board uses the names of your language, with its own letters such as Ä, Ø or É, and decoy letters taken from the same language.
