How to play: the 10-second version
- Pick your region: Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas or Oceania. Then brace yourself, because every flag in the world lands on the wall, shuffled, with no names to help you.
- Hunt down every flag from your region and click it, in any order you like. Each one you find gets a very satisfying green tick.
- One wrong click and it's game over. No second chances, no take-backs. The good news: the end screen shows you exactly what fooled you, so it never fools you twice.
- Race the clock (5 seconds per flag), go wild with Rush hour, or switch the clock off and take your time. Your best score will be right there, waiting to be beaten.
Pick your hunting ground
- Europe 46 flags to hunt down Crosses, tricolours and a few countries you could walk across before lunch. Somewhere on the wall, a flag from far away is wearing a very convincing European disguise.
- Asia 48 flags to hunt down Rising suns, crescent moons and a dragon or two. Be careful with the simple ones: not every flag that feels Asian has ever been there.
- Africa 54 flags to hunt down The biggest hunt of them all. Green, yellow and red are everywhere, and a couple of the lookalikes have never set foot on the continent.
- Americas 29 flags to hunt down From the Arctic to Cape Horn: stars, stripes and suns. At least one visitor from across the ocean does a surprisingly good American impression.
- Oceania 14 flags to hunt down Only 14 to find, so it sounds easy. It isn't. The Pacific's flags have some sneaky relatives on the other side of the planet.

Flag Spotter FAQ
How many flags does each region have?
Europe has 46, Asia 48, Africa 54, the Americas 29 and Oceania 14. They are hidden among all the other flags of the world, so the wall holds between 186 and 191 flags.
Why are Turkey, Georgia and Russia missing from some walls?
A few countries sit on two continents, and people disagree about where they belong. To keep it fair, Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are left off the Europe wall, and Russia and Egypt off the Asia wall, so nobody loses a run to a geography argument.
What happens if I click a wrong flag?
The run ends straight away. You see the flag you clicked next to the flag it looks like, a tip on how to tell them apart, and every flag you did not find yet.
Is Flag Spotter good for kids?
Yes. There is nothing to type and no names to spell: children just look and click. Oceania, with 14 flags, is a gentle start, and the No limit clock removes the time pressure.
Which flags are the hardest?
The look-alikes. Some flags from opposite ends of the world are near twins, and the only difference is a shade of blue, the order of two stripes or a tiny emblem. We won't spoil which ones: you'll meet them on the wall, and if one catches you, the end screen shows exactly how to tell them apart.
Do I earn points, and how does the leaderboard work?
A clean sweep pays the region's flag count: find all 46 European flags and that is 46 points. Miss one and the run pays nothing. Sweep the same region again the same day and it pays half of the run before it, and the counter resets every day. Your best run in each region also lands on that region's leaderboard, whichever clock you played, because finding more flags always beats finding them faster.
