Say hello to Country Clash, our new daily geography game. Two countries appear side by side and you pick the one with the higher value in the day's category - population, area or GDP. Get it right and the run keeps going. Get it wrong and it is over.
It is one quick decision at a time, and it is harder than it sounds.
How it works
- You see two countries and today's category. One value is shown, the other is hidden.
- Tap the country you think is higher.
- A correct pick carries on - the revealed country becomes the next anchor and a new one steps in.
- One wrong pick ends your run. Reach 15 in a row for a perfect run.
Same puzzle for everyone, every day
The category and the chain of countries are the same worldwide and change once per day (UTC). So you and everyone else are clashing over the exact same puzzle - it comes down to what you know.
Climb the leaderboard
Finish your run and you land on today's leaderboard, ranked by longest streak and then fastest time. Come back tomorrow for a fresh category and a new chain.
A few things that trip people up
- Big on the map is not the same as most populated - think Russia vs India.
- For area, vast but empty countries like Canada, Australia and Kazakhstan rank surprisingly high.
- For GDP, a small rich nation can beat a much larger one.
