Our new game Passport Control is live: countries arrive at the desk with their flag, and you send each one through the right lane. Europe or Africa? Landlocked or coastal? Pays in euros or not?
The first levels are warm-ups. Then the lanes change to flag colours, Olympic hosts and languages, and the country you were sure about turns out to belong somewhere else.
How it works
- There are 14 levels, each with two to four lanes. You start with continents, then sort by flag colours, coastlines, the EU and the euro, Summer Olympic hosts, languages and finally Nordic, Baltic or Balkan.
- Drag each country into its lane, or tap the country and then the lane. It plays just as well on a phone.
- A wrong lane sends the country back and tells you why, like "Not Europe! Chad: in Africa." At the end of the round you get a short list of the countries worth remembering.
- Every round is dealt fresh from a pool of 191 countries, so no two games are the same.
- Countries that span two continents, like Russia and Turkey, sit the continent levels out. You will never lose a stamp to a geography argument.
Two stamps for every level
Clear a level and you get a blue Cleared stamp in your passport. Clear it without a single wrong drop and the stamp turns gold: Perfect. Your best time is saved too. Your first clear pays 5 to 13 points depending on the tier, from Rookie up to Cartographer, and a perfect run pays a few extra.
Free to play
Levels 1 to 7 are open to everyone, with no sign-up. Levels 8 to 14 only need a free account, which also keeps your stamps on every device you play on.
