Our new game Flag Spotter is live: every flag in the world hangs on one wall, and your job is to click all the flags of a single region. All 46 of Europe? All 54 of Africa? One wrong click and the run is over.
It sounds easy right up to the moment you spot something that looks exactly like the flag you want, but belongs to a country on the other side of the planet. We are not telling you which ones. You will meet them.
How it works
- Pick a region: Europe (46 flags), Asia (48), Africa (54), the Americas (29) or Oceania (14).
- Click every flag that belongs to it, in any order. The rest of the world stays on the wall the whole time.
- One wrong click ends the run there and then. You see the flag you clicked next to the one it is so easily mistaken for, and a tip for telling them apart next time.
- Three clocks: Normal, Rush hour for a sprint, or No limit if you would rather take your time.
- You climb from Tourist to Vexillologist as the flags add up.
Points and the leaderboard
A clean sweep pays the region's flag count: find all 46 European flags and that is 46 points. Miss one and the run pays nothing, so it is worth slowing down on the last few. Every region has its own leaderboard, and every clock counts on it, because finding more flags always beats finding them faster.
Warm up first
New to a region? Run through the Europe flags quiz, Africa or Asia, then come back and try to clear the wall. It works for younger players too: there is nothing to type and no spelling, just look and click.
